SUSTAINABILITY

Minben Calcium

Green Development, Shared Future

As a manufacturer of calcium-based materials, Minben Calcium integrates sustainability into day-to-day operations rather than treating it as a standalone initiative. Compliance is fundamental, but operational stability and resource efficiency are equally important.

We implement continuous improvement systems across production control, raw material utilization, energy optimization, and mine land management. While ensuring product quality and supply reliability, we steadily reduce resource intensity and environmental impact.

For Minben Calcium, sustainability is not a short-term project, but a management principle embedded throughout the production process.

Sustainability in Action

From Compliance to Regeneration

Closed-Loop Tailings and Water Management

Closed-Loop Tailings and Water Management

In 2017, Minben suspended production for five months and invested RMB 120 million to build a tailings solid–liquid separation center. The project enabled internal water recycling and over 95% filter cake reutilization, laying the foundation for long-term environmental management and operational stability.

Limestone Resource Utilization Optimization

Limestone Resource Utilization Optimization

Through graded mining and cascade utilization, Minben increased limestone utilization from approximately 85% to 98%. This improvement reduced solid waste by about 320,000 tonnes annually while generating RMB 12 million in additional yearly value.

Rotary Kiln Energy Efficiency Upgrade

Rotary Kiln Energy Efficiency Upgrade

In 2020, Minben upgraded its rotary kiln system with a three-stage preheater and intelligent temperature control. The upgrade improved heat recovery by 22%, reduced natural gas consumption by 15%, and cut annual carbon emissions by approximately 18,000 tonnes.

Dafasi Town Land Reuse and Tea Plantation Project

In 2022, Minben joined a hometown village–enterprise cooperation project to convert underused land into a large-scale tea plantation. By combining corporate investment with local land and labor, the project restored land productivity and supported local employment and income growth.

Distributed Photovoltaic Installation

Distributed Photovoltaic Installation

In 2025, Minben installed a 5,300 kWp distributed photovoltaic system across its mining and plant facilities. The system generates about 5.8 million kWh annually, supplementing production electricity demand and increasing the share of clean energy in daily operations.
